Healthcare Organizations Executive

Job Description

Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA) has retained WittKieffer to assist in the recruitment of a President & Chief Executive Officer. After 8 years of outstanding service as DDPA’s President & CEO, Steve Olson will be retiring in January 2021.

With over 65 years of experience, Delta Dental has an outstanding brand and enjoys broad recognition for improving the oral health of consumers and communities through both insurance offerings and philanthropic efforts. DDPA is comprised of 39 independent Delta Dental companies serving all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Through these independent companies, known as Member Companies, the Delta Dental System is the nation’s largest provider of dental insurance. More than 80 million individuals and nearly half of the U.S. Fortune 1000 companies, trust Delta Dental to protect and care for their smiles. In addition, more than 75% of dentists nationwide have chosen to be part of the Delta Dental network. Through their community efforts, in 2018, Delta Dental companies provided approximately $79 million in direct and in-kind community outreach support across the country.

During this dynamic time within healthcare the DDPA President & CEO is a highly visible executive in several national health care forums and is very influential in continuing to position the importance of oral health and its impact on overall health. The next DDPA President & CEO will have a full agenda as all the Delta Dental member companies pursue a wide array of market specific strategies. As member organizations transform to meet the new healthcare landscape, the new President & CEO must ensure DDPA can address the changing needs of its Member Companies and the health and wellness marketplace.
